We are looking for a Premises Officer who can help us keep our 3 schools safe, secure and clean for our students, staff and visitors.

You will make sure our site is secure at the start and end of the day, carry out general maintenance and cleaning tasks and liaise with specialist contractors where needed.

You'll need to be physically fit as you'll be on your feet a lot of the day and you'll need to move goods and equipment around the site. One minute you might be taking delivery of a pallet of exercise books, the next setting up the hall for assembly before going on to escort a heating engineer to service the boiler.

You might have really great DIY skills or you might be a time-served tradesman. We'll work with your skills to find tasks that suit you best, but a willingness to learn is just as important as is working with the rest of the team. Of course, you'll need to be ultra-reliable as the school will depend on you.

This role does require you to work alternating shifts on a weekly basis. The early shift will start at 7am and the late shift will finish at 7pm.

There will be the opportunity to earn overtime, supporting our successful events and lettings at weekends plus the occasional weekday evening event such as parents evenings or open evenings.

This is a 52 week a year role as we carry out lots of our essential work through the school holidays when we can access the whole site without students and staff being around.  However, you'll benefit from a generous paid holiday allowance and be able to join an excellent pension scheme.  There's also free parking on site.

As you will be working around children and young people and our priority is to keep them safe, you will need to have extra clearance to be employed - an enhanced DBS check, as well as the usual references.
