Rye Primary School and Rye College Leadership Update
I am delighted to announce some leadership changes at our Rye Academy Trust Schools. Mr Blakelock, the current Head of Rye College and Rye Studio School, is appointed Executive Headteacher across all the Trust’s Schools. This will strengthen the already positive links between our schools and give greater continuity and stability for our students as they progress on their educational journey from 2 through to 16 with us.
Mr Blakelock will be supported by strong leadership teams in each of our schools; in the Primary School by Miss Martin, Head of School and Ms Isted, Deputy Headteacher and in the College by Mr Downes, Head of School and Ms Carpenter, Deputy Headteacher.
In addition, the College leadership team has been further strengthened from September by the appointment of two excellent Assistant Headteachers, Mr Rickard and Mr Maxim, each with responsibility for different aspects of teaching and learning.
Our new leadership team is committed to working in partnership with you to improve the aspirations and life chances of our students and I am sure you will want to join with me in wishing them every success as they enthusiastically meet the challenges ahead.
